What an incredibly busy week we’ve had, change for everyone this week. I’m so glad that I joining in with this linky so that I can document all the things we get up to this year.
We’ve got back into a routine this week and the boys and I have started up our daily bed time stories. Currently we’re reading the Famous Five, Five Go Down To The Sea. This is book 12 in the series. The five have gone off to Cornwall for the holidays and fallen into another adventure involving wreckers and smugglers. We’re on chapter 15 and it’s started to get very exciting. I love the way each chapter ends on a mini cliff hanger, the boys can’t wait to hear what happens the next night.
Hubby and I have finally dedicated some time to watch some good TV. This week we’ve started to watch Sherlock. I know we’re so up with the times! We watched the first series of three episodes this week off Netflix and I loved everyone episode. I’m looking forward to starting series 2.
With the boys we’ve also started to watch TrollHunters off Netflix, Morgana suggested this in her post last week. This is a great series to watch with the boys, so far we’re three episodes in and they are loving it (so am I). It’s a treat after they get their homework done to watch whilst they have some dinner.
I’ve heard the new Ed Sheeran songs, Shape of You & Castle on the Hill. I love Ed Sheeran and can’t wait for his new album Divide to come out.
This week the boys school were using a new website called Purple Mash. Each of the pupils get their own log on and password so they can use it at home. The boys came home from school on Wednesday and used this to design and print 3d vehicles. We cut them out and mummy helped to glue them together, I think they look great and I’m sure my lounge is going to be covered in these by the end of the weekend.
This week I’ve had to dust off the work clothes. I went into the office on Tuesday and Wednesday and had to get my work trousers out of storage and ready to use. I haven’t worn these for about 20 months due to being pregnant and then not needing them on maternity leave. I have also been wearing a rather nice pair of boots that I got from Jones in the Christmas sales.
Well let’s see I’ve gone back to work and it’s fine when I’m there. I do get a bit sad in the afternoon when I realise how much I missed Darcey. Work are keeping me busy and at least I’m only there in the morning. It’ll take we a couple of week to catch up with everything but it’s all good so far.
The most important news of the week. Darcey took her first few very tentative steps tonight…..
On Monday after I’d gone back to work, hubby finished early and took me for a celebratory lunch, we went to Cafe Rouge. I love the french onion soup they do and then I had a chicken salad with a side of chips. Such a nice lunch and I managed to snap a photo of daddy/daughter love. This is my favourite photo this week.
