With Mother’s Day nearly upon us it’s about time to get thinking about gifts. Personally I always like to receive something homemade from the kids. They get so excited about making the gift and are so proud when they get to give it to you, it makes it even more special to receive it.
Here are some ideas to get creative
1) Paint a plate
Ben made this for me at school when he was 3, I keep it on the wall in my bedroom. It’s really easy to do as well, you just need to get a small side plate or saucer and some paints and away you go. Then simply attach a plate hanger on the back and wrap it up in nice tissue paper for mum.
2) Button letter
I love this and it takes pride of place on my dressing table. Simply print out the capital letter and message on paper or nice card, then get creative with buttons and glue. Ben really enjoyed doing this and it looks fantastic. Once it was dry he put it in a white frame and wrapped it up for me.
3) Footprint Bags
I saw this idea from Amanda at Our Wild Things blog this week. They look absolutely amazing and maybe with a couple of adults I’d be able to make these with the kids. I personally would love to receive a bag like this on Mother’s Day, you could even get creative with the animals on the bag.
