Just before Christmas I came home to an odd shaped parcel on my doorstep, it looked a bit like a broomstick and my 9 year old thought maybe it was from Hogwarts. Opening it up it was the Vileda Spray Mop. My son was a bit disappointed, I however was over the moon as my very old steam mop had just died.
Lightweight and easy to use
The downstairs of our house is mainly laminate or tiles and with three kids it is constantly dirty. Also as Darcey is crawling I like to keep it as clean as possible because she’s always on the floor. We’ve had a steam mop in the past which I really struggle with as it’s just so heavy. The Vileda Spray Mop is great for me because it is so light weight, there is no heavy reservoir of water at the bottom that aggravates my back when using.
The spray solution is poured into the handle from the top which means the weight is balanced really well. If you do suffer from a back condition and have to be careful then this is great.
The pad on the bottom is easy to attach and goes into the washing machine after use. It washed really well and didn’t lose shape.
The other thing I like about this is it doesn’t leave your floors soaking wet. It’s perfect to just grab out of the cupboard and use quickly, especially when Darcey throws her food on the floor or the boys walk in with their muddy shoes.
Why I like it
- It’s lightweight, much lighter than steam mops out there. I can grab it out of the cupboard and use it quickly.
- You don’t need to carry a separate bucket of water as you would with a traditional mop.
- It doesn’t leave floors soaking wet.
- The cleaning fluid is suitable for all types of hard floors.
If you are considering a new mop then I would recommend the Vileda Spay mop. I’ve even had my boys aged 8 & 9 having a go at mopping the floor with this. Visit the Vileda shop to order your own.
Disclaimer the team at Vileda sent me the mop in return for an honest review.
