We had a very eventful night last night. Ben came down with a sickness bug at about 10pm, typically he’d had tomato pasta for dinner and it went everywhere. The boys are never sick so this was really unusual. I had to call guest services who were fantastic and told me to leave all the bedding in front of the villa and they would come and deliver new bedding for him.
This morning we’d booked to do the Junior Falconry as Ben is mad about birds and animals. Even though he was really poorly he still wanted to go as we couldn’t re-book it for another time. Off we went down to the Falconry Centre and I’m really glad we did because it was fantastic. The ladies that ran the hours event were really informative and great with all the kids. The first bird we saw was a Peregrine Falcon which is Ben’s favourite, this is the first time he’s got to see one in real life and he got to hold it too, which made his day.
We also saw Kestrels and a a Harris Hawk which the children were allowed to handle and the birds would fly between them. The hour went really quickly and all the children seemed to enjoy it.
When we got back to the villa I took Will swimming while hubby stayed at home with Ben and Darcey. It was lovely to have one on one time with Will, we haven’t had much time just the two of us since Darcey arrived.
In the afternoon we’d booked to do roller skating with all our friends. The boys got on well, much better than I expected and Ben even felt a bit better and had a go. They did the roller skating at the Jardin des Sports and it’s right in front of the Starbucks which meant all the mummies and daddies could have a nice coffee and watch the kids.
We’re going to have an early night tonight, all this swimming and fresh air is making us sleepy. A quick game of banagrams and then it’s off to bed.
