Frog Bikes Accessories Review

The lovely team at Frog Bikes have sent us a couple of items to review from their accessory Team Sky range. As a family we love Frog bikes, check out my recent review, the boys have been using these bikes for the last 2 years and they are amazing. We ordered Ben the new Team Sky bike for his 7th birthday and he is so excited to review the matching accessories.

I received the Team Sky rucksack and cover set and Team Sky saddle pack.

Team Sky rucksack and cover set

Rucksack NEW Rucksack Cover NEW
The rucksack is a stylish design, really good quality and very well made. It is just the right size for a child, Ben is 7 and it fits him perfectly. There is a lot of storage space inside and has a 35l capacity which is more than enough for anything that he needs. There are also mesh pockets on the side which he put’s his water bottle in, meaning he has easy access to his drink and I don’t have to worry about it leaking inside the bag.

It is also very comfortable to wear and has adjustable padded straps so if there are heavier items in the bag it’s not cutting into his shoulders.
Frog have clearly put a lot of thought into the design of the rucksack and it has some great extra features;
Integrated wet bag in the centre compartment – this is great when we use the bag for swimming as it keeps anything wet separate for his school uniform or school books. When we don’t need it, it just sites on the bottom of the bag.
Reflective strips – it’s getting dark outside so early now, these are great on the way to an from school and activities to make sure he can be seen by cars.
External name card – it’s easy to ensure he has the right bag rather than me getting home and opening it up to find we have another child’s clothes or school work!
We haven’t needed to use the rucksack cover too much as the weather hasn’t been that bad, yet. The rucksack cover is very easy to fit over the bag. It’s showerproof so will give the rucksack that little bit more protection when it is raining. The important feature for me is the extra reflective strips that the cover has and also the flashing or static lights that are easy to turn on and off. It’s so important to keep children safe and visible in the dark whether they are walking or cycling, the cover allows you to do this and Ben thinks it’s super cool.

Team Sky Saddle Pack

Saddlepack and black hybrid 52
This is a great little pack that easily fits under the saddle of the bike and is attached by a Velcro strap. It’s very well made and padded so you can be sure that whatever you are carrying in it will stay safe against any bad weather or accidents. The velcro strap makes it exceptionally easy to fit and remove and Ben can do this by himself, so if we are going anywhere and need to secure the bikes we can easily take the Saddle pack with us.
There is a loop on the back of the pack that is reflective and can be used to secure a rear light to the bike for any nighttime riding.
It’s a great addition to Ben’s bike if he doesn’t want to carry a rucksack but just needs to take a few things with him. He has filled it with all the essentials he feels he needs during a bike ride. I could easily get my iphone 6 and car keys in there with a bit of space.

Ben’s Review in the words of a 7 year old.
“Thank you very much for sending me these to review. They are really good and I really like using them. I love my rucksack because I can get all my stuff in it even Smudge my biggest doggy teddy. I like using it to go swimming and to my tennis lesson I think it looks cool.
I really like the flashing lights on the cover because they are really good to help me be seen when I go out on my bike in the dark. It is really comfy to use because it has got padding in the arm straps.
I like my saddle pack and it looks good on my bike I can put a little teddy or game in there to play with my friends.”

Check out all the Frog Bikes accessories over on their website.

Although Frog kindly provided these items for review the opinions and views are completely my own.

These sound really cool but do look quite big on your boy. Not sure my daughters would suit it.
