My surprise baby shower

Yesterday I was completely blown away and surprised by my friends and family for organising a surprise baby shower for me. I went to my mum’s for a quiet cup of tea and then had to pop into my sisters to sort out a date we could all go out to celebrate her birthday. So there I was walking down the garden to my sister’s house, which is opposite, completely unaware of what was going on inside. As my mum opened the door I think I must have looked completely confused as to why my friends and family were all there. I honestly had no idea that they were even thinking about this especially as this is baby number 3 for me.

With everything else going on at the moment at home and health wise this was a fantastic surprise and really cheered me up. I’m so grateful to my friend Jo and sister Charlotte for all the hard work and effort that they had gone too.

After the initial surprise had warn off I couldn’t believe that no one had let this slip and they’d manage to keep it all from me. I would have made more of an effort to look presentable if they had told me!

It was so lovely to have a couple of hours with the girlies to chat about the baby and play games. It got me really excited about the fact that she will be here soon, well hopefully not too soon, it was also nice to be pink and pretty. With the building works at home, hubby working really hard and then having to come home and work hard here, we haven’t really had any time to celebrate the fact that we are actually having another baby.

My sister Charlotte from the home that made me hosted the baby shower in her beautifully immaculate house. I’m sure she’ll have lots of photos on the website soon.

We played guess the dirty nappy game, trying to work out what was actually in the nappies, they were all food items but some of them looked a little bit too realistic for my liking!

We also had to guess the baby facts game, which apparently I’m not very good at, still I’ve managed to keep the boys alive through the baby stage so I’m sure this baby will be fine.

Everyone left me some prediction cards telling me when they think she’ll be born, weight and name. Seen as we haven’t picked a name yet this is going to come in handy. What a nice little keepsake as well.

I got bought so many lovely outfits and baby bits I felt completely spoilt and am so grateful to everyone for coming along and celebrating with me.
