How the little bean has developed;
- I now about the size of a squash
- I’m 42.4 cm long and I weigh 3.75lbs now
- I’m running out of space in here now mummy as I’m getting so big I’m still moving a lot though to let you know I’m OK
- I can use all on my five senses, I can hear your voice, taste the amniotic fluid, look around me and grab at my placenta
- I’ve grown my fingernails and toenails
- Keep checking my movements as they won’t slow down from now on remember to #countthekicks
Baby is continuing to do well and at my 32 week doctors check I was told I have a very nice size bump and the baby feels a good size. Wondering now if that means she’s about average or does good size mean that she’s going to be big??
She’s in the head down position which is great and I’m hoping that she stays that way until she is born. I’m feeling so much movement, the doctor just had to look at my stomach to see it moving, she didn’t need to feel it!
The baby does feel quite cramped up against my ribs at the moment and it’s always a guessing game what might be a bum, foot or leg that’s moving around.
Day to Day life
Things are definitely moving along at home now, which is a good thing seen as baby’s arrival isn’t so far away and Christmas is now less than a month.
The baby’s room is decorated and now just waiting for the carpet to go down and hubby can build the furniture and cot we’ve got. I’ll also have room to store the bits I’ve been buying.
The kitchen fitters started on Wednesday so next week I should have a working kitchen and I should also have doors on the extension so we will be properly water tight and have a proper room. I’m so excited.
I really need to start thinking about Christmas, with the great points exchanges going on at Tesco and Sainsburys, I’ve got the boys main present sorted out. I’ve also been looking on Amazon for their black Friday week, maybe a little too much with all the packages that are arriving…
The boys are so excited about Christmas and Ben has been practising for the school nativity which is next week. Will is doing a Carol Service this year which is always great to watch, so there has been lots of singing of Christmas Carols going on at home.
Braxton Hicks were coming thick and fast last Saturday which was a little bit concerning it didn’t matter what I did they wouldn’t stop. I did however manage to get to my hair appointment and have it cut and coloured for the last time before baby arrives!
I’ve also been feeling more breathless than normal and my heart has been racing, the doctor told me to mention it to the consultant when I see him next week. My blood results have come back and I’m slightly anaemic, so I’ve started taking iron tablets, just one a day at the moment.
On Monday I was meant to have a nice day out with the girls for a little shopping trip but got less than a mile down the road before the car had to pull over as I was about to pass out. I think it’s all connected to the breathlessness and racing heart rate. My BP is absolutely fine so I’ve just been told to take it easy and rest.
Lastly my pelvis is holding up at the moment, it is getting more painful as the baby is getting bigger and putting more pressure on it but the painkillers and the crutches are enabling me to get around the house and on short trips OK.
